Our School

J.C. Charyk Hanna School is a public school for students kindergarten through grade twelve operating in the town of Hanna, Alberta. We currently have almost 430 students. The school is named after famous Canadian author, educational historian, former principal, and past Hanna resident, John Constantine Charyk. We offer many extra-curricular activites such as sports and fine arts for our students. J.C. Charyk Hanna School is a trail blazer in provincial educational practices such as credit recovery options, tutorial programming, and formative assessment for our students.

What We Offer

In addition to standard academic programming outlined by Alberta Education, we take pride in our athletic programming (football, volleyball, basketball, Hockey Academy, NASP archery, etc.), fine arts offerings, fully equipped and modern Industrial Arts shop,  robotics lab and 3-D printer.We pride ourselves on offering engaging education in an environment structured to best suit students' needs.
